Telemedicine Appointments

Given these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have decided to offer Telemedicine appointments to help care for our patients’ medical and mental health needs.  As always, we are committed to providing personalized, quality care for your child and realize that these changing times are compelling us to embrace a new way of doing things.  Though we feel a virtual appointment may not be as accurate as an in-person medical examination, pairing live-video and voice conferencing can help you seek the healthcare your family needs without the risk of coming into the office. Haymarket Pediatrics will be offering virtual appointments during regular business hours, and if you are interested in one, please call the office to schedule. The appointment will be conducted via Facetime or Microsoft Teams as per your preference.  Our triage nurse will help you determine if a telemedicine appointment is right for your child’s ailment or concern if you are uncertain.

COVID-19 Update

During these stressful and uncertain times, the doctors and staff of Haymarket Pediatrics want to assure you that we are doing everything in our power to continue to care for you and your children.

You will notice some changes during these next weeks implemented to keep our patients and staff well. If you have a well child appointment already scheduled, you may receive a phone call from us to change the time. In order to protect your families, we will see well checks only in the morning hours and then see sick patients after these appointments have finished. This is to assure that the office equipment and the staff have not been contaminated before the children arrive. If you or your child have a cough or fever and you are coming to a scheduled well appointment, please call and inform us of this prior to arrival. Our office is cleaned nightly by a professional cleaning service that is taking extra precautions and all the toys, books and stickers have been removed for infection control purposes. Our reception is also screening each potential sick visit for coronavirus risk as patients call for an appointment.

We thank you for your understanding as we are striving to keep our community well during these difficult times.
